| Any interest? |

Would anyone be interested in reading a translation of an article from Jyousei Seven that analyzes why older women in their 40s are getting back into the idol craze? It's pretty similar to the Arashi feature on Hiruobi from November, but they also talk extensively to various housewives and get more professional opinions from psychologists and so forth. The only groups they name specifically are Arashi and Tohoshinki, but it applies to idols in a general sense too. Here's the translation I've done on the short intro blurb in the beginning:
Within the Hearts of Groupies in their 40s Around-40s who support Arashi concerts with attendance counts of 760,000 people. What is it do they seek from idols such as Tohoshinki, Hikawa Kiyoshi and others?
Mother and daughter pairs, groups of female friends possibly in their 40s... sights of these sorts of fans have been increasing lately at the concert venues of idols. Being infatuated with idols when they're old enough to know better... but such thoughts are already of the past. Surely there must be reasons behind them paying attention to "younger, cute men" with enthusiasm--
It's a pretty long article (~5 pages long), so it's not exactly a small project to take on. I figured I'd see if there's enough interest in it first, and if not I can always work instead on their group article from Cut or something. XD

| Nino's goals for 2010 |
[05 Jan 2010|12:47am] |
Big goal: Music. Well creating music for games. But seems like he wanted to rewrite his big goal, after what Sho and Ogura-san said. Something to do with copyright problem and etc?
I'm just glad Nino's going back to music. Can't wait to hear his compositions, if he has any on hand now. And please don't give us heart attacks :P
Small goal: To pay attention to his health.
Well, I just hope he takes care of himself. It is going to be a busy year. Anyway, Jun mentioned about maybe on their regular days, Nino could make bento for them. Then Nino was like, I'm not like running errands (I love his reaction).

Arashi niisan tachi?
May I know how old are you?
Or who you had in mind, when you said that? The youth?
I can't help feeling, that there's something evil behind that smile.
( :P )

Happy New Year!
It's becoming a tradition, so shall post this.
2009 was the year, that had few ups and downs in real life. 2009 was the year, that I got my ideal keitai. 2009 was the year, that Aiba had his first leading drama. 2009 was the year, that the guys participated in their first Kouhaku. 2009 was the year, that I chose to give up watching Nino's butai. 2009 was the year, that I attended a 5x10 concert at Tokyo Dome.
What I wrote for 2009 then:
2009 shall be the year, I attend Arashi's 10th anniversary concert ^^ It was a fight. But I am SO SO GLAD I made it through!
2009 shall be the year, I make a trip to Japan again. I did, and I stayed there longer this time. And it was cold and raining. But I just love to be there. And be surrounded by cute things all the time, including the guys XD
2009 shall be the year, I spend Christmas in Japan (^ ^)v This one is kind of scary, because I did not expected the concert to be held in Dec. So when I went there, it was all Christmasy though I didn't spend the actual day there.
2009 shall be the year, a full concert from Dream 'A' live tour with behind-the-scenes footage on DVD. This one didn't came true :(
2009 shall be the year, a full concert from AAA 08 tour with behind-the-scenes footage (preferably the one in Taiwan XD) on DVD. Not exactly, but we got the one from Kokuritsu! And there's behind-the-scenes footage too!
2009 shall be the year, Nino gets a new nikki :P Nope. Oh well.
2009 shall be the year, Aiba gets a good lead role (with good story plot) in a drama. He did!! :)
And for 2010:
2010 shall be the year, I attend another concert of Arashi ^^ 2010 shall be the year, I make a trip to Japan again. 2010 shall be the year, I cut down on buying magazines. 2010 shall be the year, a full concert from Dream 'A' live tour with behind-the-scenes footage on DVD. 2010 shall be the year, a full concert from 5x10 tour with behind-the-scenes footage on DVD. 2010 shall be the year, the economy gets much better than 2009. 2010 shall be the year, I get a good laptop or/and scanner. 2010 shall be the year, people around me will be happier.
To flist: Most of you still have me on your flist, thank you :) I know everyone has their own happenings in life and I apologise if I wasn't able to comment to make you feel better, to say something encouraging etc. But please don't stop posting. But, if you want to defriend me, I understand. And I would like to inform, that I will be removing some people from my flist. Because you have taken me off your flist, you never commented for 1 year and/or you never updated your LJ for 1 year. Sumimasen.
To everyone who reads my LJ: Thank you for reading :) To those who commented, I really appreciate it. To those who just lurk, well let me say "Hi." ^^ I don't mind fellow fans adding me on their flist, without telling me. I am perfectly fine with that, because my LJ is 99% public (1% is usually ranting) in the first place. To those who did informed me, I appreciate it even though I didn't reply (I don't know what's wrong with me). For awhile, I have not been adding anyone because I don't think I am a good LJ friend. And I can't tell you, my so-called friending policy because it's not just about, having the same interest, it's more. So, that's how it is now. Yes, you may defriend me now.
To everyone who visits my Nino mini website: It's on hiatus now, but I hope to open it soon. I really hope I can make it better, but I feel whatever I'm doing is not enough. I want my website to be diverse, I don't want it to be just all streaming. Also, some people made me feel, that I'm not doing it right. And yes, I like Nino this much...so what else do you expect when you visit the website? Last but not least, to those who visit it regularly...thank you :)
To Arashi: 10 years. Though you guys are not the only group, that has debuted for 10 years, but you guys are the guys that I like a lot :) The group will not be completed, without any of you. My main and only fandom for nearly 4 years, and I don't regret one bit. Maybe the people around me wouldn't understand my love for you guys, why I do crazy things...but really, it's living for the moment. Sometimes I see an interview or watch a performance, I will just get all happy and thankful that I got to know you guys.
To Nino: I felt an extremely heavy burden, when I had to choose your butai, or the 10th anniversary concert. I'm sorry but in the end, I gave up your butai. But one day, I will watch your butai, because I want to see your acting live. And your back problem. Is it getting worse, it is okay, is it getting better? I am concerned. If you have to put up with pain while performing, I rather you not perform and stop doing flips. REST. Arashi is getting more popular and definitely you will have more work. Though you can't have the final say in everything and you have to follow, but health is more important. But, I also see it as you being professional, so you don't really say "No." to whatever work you receive.

| You know what? |
[30 Dec 2009|07:01am] |
The entrance ticket to Kouhaku, has gone all the way to 176,000 円 (starting price was 1 円). And there's still 16 hours till the auction ends, with already....72 bids on hand.
Another one is 175,000 円, with 109 bids (16 hours more).
The 3rd one I saw, is 105,000 円 as the starting price (but no one has bid on it, because no photos of the tickets).
All prices/bids are as when this post is posted, and they were only up for, at the most 2 days. How does one get this ticket in the first place?
Because the harder to get, the tougher the fight will be.
Kowai.

| [KinKi Kids] Lyrics - Kaze no Sonnet |
[28 Dec 2009|04:34pm] |
Another song off J Album, and probably one of my favourites off it. It's not a song about romance, so the lyrics are not only pretty, but also vague and cryptic; I don't think I did the song justice at all, but I couldn't help giving it a try anyway.
Comments always appreciated; enjoy!
